On 30 May, Nextrade Founder and CEO Kati Suominen led a high-level business dialogue at the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva. The purpose of the dialogue, which brought together 60 business leaders worldwide, was to discuss how the WTO could better address the current needs of the business community. WTO Director General Roberto Azevêdo chaired the proceedings. In addition to the current WTO negotiating agenda, the business leaders urged the WTO to look at a wide range of issues such as ecommerce, rules to better facilitate services and investment flows, support for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, action to provide trade finance, and many others. Suominen chaired one of the four discussion groups in the event.
